Based on a story in the tabloid Weekly World News, Bat Boy: The Musical is a rock musical comedy/horror show that follows the story of a half-boy, half-bat creature discovered in a cave in Hope Falls, West Virginia. The Parker family takes the Bat Boy in and raises him, discovering he is an extraordinarily intelligent young man. Just as Bat Boy begins to be accepted by the closed-minded townsfolk of Hope Falls, chaos erupts as an evil plan begins to unravel and dark truths are revealed about the beast inside many in the community.
Content note: This production contains a description of past sexual violence and depictions of unhealthy relationships, self-harm, violence, and death. Prerecorded gunshot sound effects, blood makeup effects, and strobe light effects are used during the production.
